The Dupes Discourse

I don’t do fakes, but dupes are acceptable.

Dupes work because they’re inspired by something, not trying to be an exact copy. It’s the difference between a reference and a replica. One feels intentional, the other just feels nada.

So yes, this is a dupes edit.

This is a list of really easy pieces. The kind you’re about to see everywhere, and your willpower will slowly start to crumble.

A lot of this is trend driven, which means some of it probably won’t be around next year. So in my opinion, don’t overspend.

That said, this is still me. I’m not sending you anything cheap. These are all from good brands, just not pushing you to spend The Row money.

And honestly, it’s a little silly. I had fun with it. I was also fighting for my life putting these collages together. I am not an image editor, clearly. But idk it's not too bad!!

Also, remember when I wrote about my very biased bag trends of the season? My very official, very personal opinions. I fear I was right because they are now everywhere.

So naturally, I got the dupes for you.

The Season of Raffia

Everyone needs a summer bag. It’s non negotiable. And this year, the more see through, the better.

Baseball Tees

Super random, but they’re everywhere right now and I think it’s fun!

That said, not worth $245 at GIR.

Mesh / Crochet

First there’s raffia, then there’s mesh, and crochet.

And I’m just going to say it. If you’re about to spend real money on a designer crochet bag, don’t.

Just don’t.

The structure isn’t there. The longevity isn’t there. It’s trend driven in a way that does not justify the price. You will get the same effect, if not better, from something significantly less expensive.

Spend that money on leather. Something that actually holds up, both physically and stylistically.

Albeit there are beautiful ones (like below) but stop!

I have nothing against Doen. I actually love it. But if you’re going to shell out, spend it on the Ischia Dress instead.
